Salar is a mining and management consulting executive with over 18 years of experience, including consulting, mining technology, technology product development, project management, operations and strategy for large-scale mining companies with expertise across all continents and multiple commodities.

Between 2014 and 2023, Salar was the cofounder, Managing director and later the CEO of Outliers Mining Solutions, the Mining industry's most innovative client-centric consulting service company.

Before Outliers Mining Solutions, Salar held project management, supervisory and individual contributor roles in Barrick Gold and Rio Tinto. Primarily focused on team building, technology implementation and effective use of technology and automation in mining. Also, in strategy and capital allocation, working closely with the executive leadership team to evaluate new investment opportunities and support the execution and creation of the business strategy.
