Marc is the CEO of Elementa, the company behind Edumine and Careermine, two platforms widely used by geoscientists, engineers, and mining companies to support technical learning and career development. Over the past decade, Marc has worked closely with exploration and mining teams across major and mid-tier organizations, giving him a front-row view into how technical capability is developed in practice—and where traditional approaches fall short.

Much of Marc's current work focuses on the challenge of early- and mid-career capability development in geoscience and mining disciplines. He is particularly interested in the gap between formal training and on-the-job performance, and how variability in experience, mentoring, and exposure shapes outcomes for technically trained professionals. His perspective blends workforce data, learning science, and real-world observations from mining operations globally. Marc regularly advises technical services leaders on workforce readiness, knowledge transfer, and succession risk, especially in the context of an aging workforce and increasing technical complexity.
